Chanuka Medley with Micha Gamerman

Not published yet

Are you looking forward to a fun Chanuka celebration? Music is one of the many things that makes the holidays special. Sometimes it is fun to experience well-known music that reminds us of the familiar good times, in new ways.

This Chanuka medley was beautifully arranged by Yitzy Berry and Eli Klein; they clearly have a lot of talent to share with the world. The medley is sung by Brazilian singer named Micha Gamerman. The song can help point the listener to God as the ruler of the universe and the source of our sanctification. This is very important, as sometimes we may forget and be tempted to act as if the source of sanctification is ourselves.

Chanuka music also reminds us of the many ways God has intervened in the past. These musical reminders can give us confidence in God’s ability to protect and provide for us in the future. Putting important memories into musical scores and lyrics can be a very helpful way pass them down to future generations. Music can also uplift the mood, which makes daily tasks and special events more enjoyable. Creating music videos can also amp up the fun, adding visuals to enhance the artistry of the song lyrics and musical scores.

This animated video starts off in a cozy house at the water’s edge, under the backdrop of a starry sky. Framed by a window, a small Jewish boy stands behind a menorah surrounded by tasty Chanuka treats. You also get to see the dreidel used to play a game. The young child begins to sing the Chanuka medley, and as the song progresses, he is soon surrounded by others who join in the holiday celebration. Soon every candle of the menorah in the home shines with the wonderful warm glow of candle light.

There are many other lovely scenes in the video, like the Menorah being lit in the temple by a priest while the music plays in the background. Later you see people gather around to play the dreidel game, followed by many other enjoyable holiday visuals. I bet this video will bring back many warm holiday memories, and encourage viewers to look forward, when next year brings the opportunity to celebrate the holiday again.
