The Message

The Message

I was right in the middle of deceit
When truth found me.
Well I thought I was living life
as one should be.

I didn't know I was in a grave
Being covered by the sins I made.
And the first and last thing I needed
Was to be saved.

Well the message is so precious
And the meaning is so pure.
To believe it is to receive it
Let it live within your heart forever more.

I was blinded by the lie of false enlightenment being struck by arrows of temptation.
Exposed for what I was
I didn't like what I had become.
And the first and last thing I needed
was to the change my situation.

When I finally received my vision
I couldn't believe my eyes
Everything I thought I wanted
came to mind.

I knew that these possessions.
Would leave me unsatisfied.
what I thought was fulfillment
Was Illusion a clever disguise.

But the message is so precious
And the meaning is so pure
To believe it is to receive it.
Let it live within your heart forever more
