Flash Mob - Hora Jerusalem

Flash Mob - Hora Jerusalem

A rather lively crowd started singing and dancing in Jerusalem’s Mamilla Quarter,a neighborhood just outside the Jaffa Gate leading into the Old City, and was joined by troupes of Hora dancers.

The Hora is an upbeat, lively, circular dance that most traditionally dance to the song, Hava Nagila. It is also commonplace at Jewish weddings to use this dance to lift the bride and groom into the air on their chairs. Although this is not quite what happened in Mamilla Quarter at least in this particular video, this is just a brief introduction as to what Hora dancers normally do.
