The Missing Section of the First Temple Wall of Jerusalem was Exposed at the City of David

Dr. Uziel and Dr. Yukosavovic are studying recent excavations of the 1st temple period in the City of David.

Portions of the defensive wall around the city remain in a relatively intact condition and provide a wealth of information about daily life in the city prior to the Babylonian invasion on the 9th of Av in 586 BCE.

Artifacts have been uncovered at the site, which accurately identify the time period.  They also provide evidence about the bureaucracy of the 1st temple government. The ruins are located in the City of David National Park in the environs of Jerusalem.
