Wildlife of the Holy Land: The Ibex

The ibex is a species of wild goats and are found in Isreal in the Judean Desert, the Negev Highlands, Eilat Mountains, and Golan Heights.

They typically like to inhabit steep mountains and cliffs in the desert. Their presence in Israel dates back to Biblical times.
