Israel's Newest Bill

Israel's Newest Bill

An historic vote was passed by the Israel Knesset declaring the Israel is the land for the national homeland of the Jewish people, that the name of the homeland is Israel, that the complete undivided capital is Jerusalem, Hebrew is the national language, Hatikvah is the state anthem, the white and blue strips and Jewish star is its flag, and the Sabbath and Jewish Holy Days are official days of rest.

All of these things seem to be common knowledge, but it took 70 years for such a law to become established law, and not without a fight.
