This video provides information about a fascinating method that could be used to get water to people in the army. This is something many people, including myself, may have never given much thought to. I would’ve just assumed people brought enough food and water with them to sustain them during war but I didn’t think of how hard it could be to estimate how much water would be needed and how easy it could be to get that amount wrong because how long a war may last can be hard to predict. Also, it could take up a lot of time and resources just to transport the amount needed and even then, there is still a risk it would be lost due to an attack or accident.
With this invention one would not have to worry as much about the burden of transporting water. It would be able to make drinkable water by drawing it out of the humidity in the surrounding air and processing it so people would be able to have something to drink. Of course, one may suggest there could be a drawback if the air is not very humid on some days but as the saying goes it is best not to put all of your eggs in one basket anyway so it could at least be a good way to supplement one’s water supply when conditions are better for it. It was suggested that this water system could be placed in tanks so the drivers could have something to drink which would make sense due to the limited space those vehicles would have.
There is also another use suggested for it and that was to serve as a source of water in regions that are in great need of drinking water. It would be great because it would be able to provide fresh filtered water from the air instead of requiring one to commit to the task of trying to physically locate a water source, dig a well or something, and then filter the water found in a separate step. It is great when we learn about ways to make life easier for ourselves and share that information with others. It also gave me some other thoughts.
It can be argued that this invention could be used both to support those taking lives and those protecting lives. And just as it could be used in times of war it could also be wonderfully useful in times of peace. Sometimes it isn’t the thing itself that is the issue but how something is used and why. There are things God has blessed us with to make life better but it is up to us to decide what we are going to do with the blessings that benefits us.
