Monitoring people with Corona who are quarantined can be a problem. Here’s what Israel is doing to solve it.
Doctors at Israel’s Sheba Hospital have established a procedure to monitor quarantined patients without risking exposure to healthcare workers.
Sheba Home Health Services has put together a Home Hospitalization Kit that allows physicians to monitor critical body functions remotely. They can provide limited physical examinations in real time and communicate with their patients directly via Internet connection.
Telemedicine, of which the Home Hospitalization Kit is a part, is one of six innovative healthcare ‘hubs’ established by Sheba Hospital’s ARC ecosystem to care for patients in the twenty-first century.
